What is Corrective Exercise?
As a corrective exercise specialist I can work with clients who have muscular imbalances and work on programs to correct those imbalances.
What does that mean in real life? As an example, you may have had a shoulder injury which means that you now don't have full range of motion in your shoulder area. I can show you how to use techniques such as foam rolling, static stretching, and ways in which to reactivate certain muscles to help regain more function in your shoulder. I often work with clients who have finished working with a physical therapist but want to continue what they have achieved there. |
